I live in CA, in a 2br apt with 7 people. As a sub-leaser, I signed my name on the contract but I am still unsure if they turned in the form. The 2 leasers are trying to kick us out of the apartment, giving us a notice saying we are going to be evicted. It asks for a signature but we are not signing it because it looks like they typed it themselves on microsoft word. They are falsely accusing us of drugs when we never did. She says it’s an eviction but don’t you have to go to court for an eviction? They are giving us 30 days to move out. Also, can I sue them for falsely making us sign something?
